Andrés Fernández signs for Levante UD

Following an agreement reached between the two parties Andrés Fernández has become a new Levante UD player until June 2024, with the option for one further season.

The goalkeeper (17/12/1986, Alcantarilla, Murcia) has a long history in Spanish football. He began his career in various teams in Murcia and from the age of 14 to 18 he played in the lower categories at CD Tenerife. He subsequently joined RCD Mallorca to play for the reserve team and later played for CA Osasuna B. His debut with the first team in the First Division came in the 2007/2008 season. In 2010 he went on loan to SD Huesca and, a year later, he returned to CA Osasuna until 2014 when he headed to Portugal to play for FC Porto. During the following season, he defended the interests of Granada CF, after being loaned out by the Portuguese club, and in 2016 he became part of the Villarreal CF team until 2020, when he signed for SD Huesca.

Andrés Fernández has played 194 matches in the highest category of Spanish football and 115 in the Second Division.
