The MRI scan that Roger underwent this morning has confirmed that the player has suffered anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture in his left leg. The striker had to leave the pitch during the match between Almería and Levante last Saturday after a clash with the goalkeeper Fernando whilst going for the ball left him lying on the ground. The tears on the Pistolero's face and the initial medical examination at the Pinatar Arena alerted that the injury was severe and the tests today have confirmed worst fears. Roger will be operated on next Thursday in Barcelona by Dr Cugat.
