Chema Rodríguez was operated on yesterday afternoon to rectify the damage caused by the nasal bone fracture he suffered at the end of last year’s pre-season and which forced him to play the first few league matches wearing a protective mask. The injury occurred during the preparatory match between Levante and Elche at the Martínez Valero Stadium in August 2017. Surgery was postponed so that the player wouldn’t have to miss the beginning of the LaLiga Santander. The operation, performed by Doctor Eduardo Ferrandis’ team, went according to plan and was carried out in the 9th October Hospital.
