Accompanied by Doctor Miguel Ángel Buil, the head of the club's medical team, this morning Andrés García visited the office of Doctor Manuel Monteagudo, a specialist in foot and ankle surgery at the Quirón Hospital in Madrid. The visit was concluded with good news, which is that, after reviewing all the tests carried out and examining him, Doctor Monteagudo has confirmed that the player has recovered from the initial phase of the injury and that the tests are positive.
Likewise, Andrés will no longer have to wear the orthopedic boot that protected him from any impact on his foot and over the next month, very progressively and while continually assessing the response, pain and inflammation, he will return to performing impact training. Once the month has passed, if there has been no incident, and the response and progress have been positive, he could rejoin the training sessions.
We remind you that the player had some discomfort in his left foot which forced him to withdraw from training at the end of September. Medical tests determined that he was suffering from severe swelling in the tarsus that forced him to exclude any chance of impact. The result of the work carried out by Andrés García during these recent weeks, together with the club's physiotherapists has been positive and from today a new stage in his recovery begins.
