Athlete Concha Montaner and rugby player María Calvo were paid tribute to in the preliminaries of the match between Levante UD and SD Eibar, where they performed the honorary kickoff.

Levante wished to acknowledge the accomplishments of the Valencian rugby player, María Calvo, who won the European Championship with the Spanish National Team in Brussels on 3rd March, after beating Holland in the final. Meanwhile, the Valencian Long Jump athlete, Concha Montaner, saw justice done after 12 years, and was finally awarded the bronze medal from the World Indoor Championships Moscow 2006 which was given to her as a result of the third position athlete being penalised for doping.
