Levante UD was defeated in their visit to Elche CF in a match where the home team scored the two winning goals within the first five minutes of the second half. The Levante players had their chances but failed to capitalize on them.

The team from Elche took possession of the ball from the early stages and began creating opportunities, mainly through corner kicks. Ryan, who played his first minutes as a Levante player today, was forced to intervene seven minutes in after a shot by Álvaro. The home team continued searching for a goal, attempting with a header from Álvaro that went slightly wide and a shot by Germán Valera that was intercepted by Elgezabal.

Around the first half-hour mark, Levante UD had their first notable chance with a cross from Toljan on the right. Iván Romero's shot fell short. In the final minutes of the first half, the Levante team almost took the lead after a good play by Iván Romero on the left. The forward delivered a cross, and Carlos Álvarez's shot hit the crossbar. With no changes to the scoreboard, both teams headed to the locker rooms.

After the restart, Elche CF struck very quickly. They did so within the first minute of play with a shot by Rafa Mir into the top corner. Shortly after, a strike by R. Mendoza made it 2-0 on the scoreboard. As the minutes passed, Levante UD began to recover, though they struggled to reach the opposing area with clarity. Julián Calero's team tried with a powerful shot by Pablo Martínez from outside the box that went wide and a shot by Víctor García that M. Dituro saved.

In the end, the two goals scored at the start of the second half were enough for the three points to stay in Elche.
