Levante UD was defeated by Rayo Vallecano in a match where they lacked the precision needed to turn their chances into goals. The visiting team, however, did find that precision, taking an early lead through former Levante player De Frutos. Although the home team managed to equalize with a goal from Carlos Álvarez, the referee, after a VAR review, disallowed the action, and both teams went into halftime with a 0-2 scoreline after another goal from De Frutos. After the restart, the team from Vallecas scored the third and final goal of the match.

The visitors took the lead early in the match. In the 11th minute, De Frutos finished at the near post from a corner kick, making it 0-1 on the scoreboard. Just two minutes later, Carlos Álvarez, after a good assist from Toljan, leveled the match. However, the referee, after a VAR review, disallowed the action, and the goal did not count. Rayo found the net again before the half-hour mark through a play by Andrei on the right wing. The cross deflected off Arriaga's shoulder, the ball fell to De Frutos, and he made no mistake.

Levante UD did not crumble and tried to respond with set pieces and combination plays, but they lacked precision in the final third. The score remained 0-2 at halftime.

After the break, Levante continued working in search of a goal, with Iván Romero attempting a shot from inside the box that was saved by A. Batalla. Rayo responded with a shot from Fran Pérez that went just wide of Ryan's left post. Íñigo Pérez's team extended their lead in the 64th minute with a goal from Álvaro García from the center of the box, assisted by Chavarría.

Julián Calero's side did not give up and kept trying until the very end. Etta Eyong, Koyalipou, Iván Romero, and Pablo Martínez all tried their luck, but they couldn't find the bit of fortune needed to finish the team's efforts. Rayo Vallecano also tried to capitalize on their chances, and Ryan saved what could have been the fourth goal after a shot from Pacha Espino.

In the end, despite their determination, Levante UD couldn't find the precision they needed and ended up losing to Rayo Vallecano.
