Levante UD continues to leave a good impression during their summer preparation. The team led by Luís Castro secured another preseason victory after defeating Albacete Balompié 2-1 in a match where they had to come back from an early goal by the Manchego team. Roger Brugué, before halftime, and Etta Eyong, just after the start of the second half, scored the goals that sealed the victory and maintained the positive momentum for the Granotas.

The Levante team was the first to threaten. Ten minutes into the game, Dela came close to opening the scoring with a free-kick that forced the opposing goalkeeper to intervene and send the ball out for a corner. Levante UD dominated possession and settled in the opponent's half, generating several corner kicks thanks to their pressure, although they couldn’t find the back of the net. However, just when the dominance seemed to favor the blue and reds, it was Albacete Balompié who struck first. Lorenzo put the Manchego team ahead just before the half-hour mark, and the goal gave confidence to the visitors, who came close to extending their lead with a free-kick by Álex Rubio that Pablo Cuñat deflected to a corner with a good save.

The hydration break changed the course of the game. Levante UD regained control and started creating chances again. Tay tried his luck with a powerful shot from the edge of the box that went wide, while a good combination between Nacho Pérez and Requena ended with a shot from the latter hitting the side netting. Their persistence paid off in the 43rd minute when Roger Brugué finished off an assist from Requena to equalize just before halftime.

The Granota response continued after the break. Shortly after the match resumed, a shot from Etta Eyong put them 2-1 ahead, completing the comeback. Levante UD didn’t settle and kept looking for a third goal, with a long-range shot from Carlos Álvarez that went just wide.

As the minutes passed, both coaches made numerous substitutions to distribute playing time and continue building match fitness. Neither team managed to score again, so the scoreline remained unchanged.

Levante UD thus concludes another preseason test with a victory that reinforces the positive feelings of Luís Castro's team. Next week, they will face their final two preparation matches before the league starts, against Villarreal CF on Wednesday and CD Castellón on Saturday.
