Flanked by Tito and Quico Catalán, the new signings were presented as Levante U.D. players, Fahad, Sadiku, Pazzini, Rochina, Iván, Coke Vegas y Coke Andujar
“I’m not here as a tourist, I’m here as a player”. For Pazinni, experienced in countless matches, his challenge is enormous. There is no fear. Only hope and faith. “I’m here because I want to help. I’m treating it as a challenge, I’ve never been afraid of challenges and I’ve started from the beginning a thousand times, despite having played for Inter, Milan and the Italian National Team.” In his opinion, the interest shown by this Club was key to his decision. “It wasn’t easy because it was right at the end of the transfer market. They showed enormous interest in me and great enthusiasm. They believe in me and I needed that. I’m the one who wants to thank the Chairman and the Club because this is an opportunity that I’m not going to miss or waste.”
For his part, Sadiku had the help of De Biasi to confirm his commitment to Levante. His relationship with the Italian coach came about from the time they both formed part of the Albanian National Team. “I didn’t hesitate for even a minute”, he insisted, "when the option to play for Levante arose. These are opportunities that don’t come along twice. I know there is a lot of expectation surrounding the attackers. I want to give a hundred percent to help the team and to score goals. I’m going to give my all for this shirt and do the best I can for this Club that has given me this opportunity,” he declared.
Rochina's assertions were not far off those made by his teammate. In his case, he swapped Russian football for the Spanish competition. He has numerous notches on his playing record after playing for Zaragoza, Rayo and Granada.
“My time playing in the Russian football competition has added to my experience. My decision to join Levante was because it is a homely club and I was very interested. I know I’m going to be here until the end of the season and then we’ll see what happens. I hope to be able to compete as soon as possible, I’m going to start working as hard as I can to be ready as quickly as possible. I’m really eager to play and the sooner the better, for everyone.”
Fahad Al Muwallad acknowledged the upward challenge offered to him by the Club. “I’m feeling very strong and physically I’m in good condition. I’m a winger but I will play wherever the coach wants me to. I feel at home here. I thank Levante for this opportunity."
Iván Villar was the first player to speak at the presentation: “I’m hardworking, responsible, and as a goalkeeper I’m always predisposed to improve. I’m here to fight for the position and make things complicated for the coach. I hope to learn and gain experience and, for me, it is a good opportunity to continue developing as a player” declared the Galician goalkeeper.
