Levante UD Juvenil

Juvenil A, paired with Atlético de Madrid in the Quarterfinals of the Champions Cup.

Levante UD's Juvenil A team has learned this noon who their opponent will be in the Quarterfinals of the Champions Cup. Euge Ribera's team will face Atlético de Madrid, the Group 5 champion, in a two-legged tie.

The Levante players will once again face Atlético de Madrid, a team they already met in the Round of 16 of the Copa SM El Rey, in the Quarterfinals of the Champions Cup. It's worth noting that this competition is contested by the seven champions of each Division of Honor group, plus the best runner-up in the category.

The first leg will be played on the weekend of May 11th and 12th at the Ciudad Deportiva, while the second leg will take place at the Centro Deportivo Alcalá de Henares on the weekend of May 18th and 19th. If they overcome this round, the Final Four will start on May 23rd.

Levante UD coach Euge Ribera has analyzed this pairing and pointed out that Atlético de Madrid "is a team that has been doing things well for a long time, it's a generation we know from last year because we played against them when they were Atlético Madrileño and we also played them this year in the Round of 16 of the Copa SM El Rey." The coach has acknowledged that they approach this competition "with a lot of enthusiasm" and he's clear about it: "It's an opportunity, we have to face it bravely, be ourselves, and play a good game, both in the first leg and in the second leg. We are excited to enjoy an experience that is unique for everyone and you never know when it will happen again."

Finally, the Levante coach also spoke about the importance of the 12th player, the fans. "We have felt a lot of closeness and affection from the people. If people are encouraged to come, it would be incredible because we will notice it," he concluded.
