Levante UD appoints David Gómez Blasco as advisor
David Gómez Blasco joins the Board of Directors after approval by the Levante UD Shareholders' Meeting held yesterday, where new members of the Board were announced to make important decisions for the club in the coming years.
With 32 years of professional experience in the financial sector, David Gómez currently serves as regional director in Valencia at a financial institution. He has previously held positions as director of Business Network in the Valencian Community, Murcia Region, and the Balearic Islands, as well as Director of Risk and Debt Restructuring, and internal auditor.
Strategic, Organizational, and Financial Vision
"What I would like to do is help the club grow, and where I can provide the most value is by offering an external perspective on the strategic, organizational, and financial aspects. I trust that my 32 years of experience in the financial sector will be useful," explained the new advisor joining the Levante UD team.
"The proposal came from within the board, as I understand they are seeking professional profiles that can contribute knowledge and experience in management," said David Blasco, who also admitted his strong passion for football.
In addition to his professional experience, Gómez Blasco holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Valencia, as well as master's degrees in Commercial Management, Credit Institutions, and Strategic Management. He has also completed executive education programs in Strategic Management of Large Companies at IE Business School and Board of Directors at IGE. Relationship with Ciutat since 1988
His relationship with the club began in 1988 when he moved from Tavernes de la Valldigna to Benimaclet. "When I came to see the first team at the stadium, at that time the squad consisted of players who were my peers, with whom I had played against just a few years earlier in youth teams," recalls Gómez Blasco, who is currently a shareholder of the company and a regular attendee in the VIP box since 2021.
David Gómez Blasco joins the Levante UD Board of Directors chaired by Pablo Sánchez, with Braulio Pastor as vice president, José Danvila as CEO, and with vocal advisors: Maribel Vilaplana, Héctor Blasco, and Ruth García, as well as Francisco Fenollosa, who is also the honorary president. The term of office for directors is 5 years, as stipulated in the entity's Articles of Association.
