Levante UD Femenino came back in a demanding and competitive match against Atlético de Madrid B in an excellent second half marked by a flurry of goals from the Granotas.

The team led by Javi Aguado came out ready to work hard. And, as has been their habit in recent matches, they made the first statement in the opening minutes. A cross from the side by N. Escoms was deflected by an opponent, but the rebound fell to the feet of an alert Paula Arce who sent the ball into the net, thus scoring her first goal with the Granotas' first team.

Levante UD sought the second goal, but encountered the equalizer from the rojiblanco reserve team, after a quick transition that caught the Levante goalkeeper off guard. The tie on the scoreboard was reflected on the field. After the Granotas' strong start, Atlético de Madrid B gained ground and found their rhythm in the match through the speed of their players. This is how the second and third local goals came. A cold shower for a Levante UD that had not yet said its last word and wanted to recover from the blow. First, Carol tried her luck, and then Dana attempted a shot from the edge of the area, but both chances went wide of the goal. It was a different story from the penalty spot, where Ari Arias reduced the deficit just before halftime with a penalty kick.

Halftime marked a turning point for Levante UD, who came out with a new attitude and determined to turn the game around. And they did it. N. Escoms was responsible for leveling the score with a left-footed shot from the edge of the area, and just eight minutes later, Ari Arias scored the goal that broke the tie on the scoreboard, following a corner taken by Gema. The Granotas wanted more and knew they could give more. That’s how Carol’s goal came about, as she appeared inside to score again for the second consecutive match.

With a shot off the crossbar, Sanadri came close to scoring, but N. Escoms found the rebound to secure her personal double. The home team tried to soften the result by scoring their fourth goal, but Levante UD still had a couple of goals up their sleeve. The Granotas' number '11' delivered a great ball into the area, allowing Ari Arias to head the ball straight into the net. Two minutes later, in the 90th minute, Inés put the finishing touch from the penalty spot.

Levante UD Femenino's next match will be on Sunday, October 18, when they host Tenerife's reserve team at 12:09 PM.
