Levante UD honour the Virgen de los Desamparados

This afternoon Levante UD made the traditional floral offering to the Virgen de los Desamparados, an act that is celebrated every year as a prelude to the start of the league competition that for the Levante team will start this Friday with a match against SD Amorebieta.

 

The contingent, made up of players, coaching staff, staff and members of the Board of Directors, was received at the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados by the rector Melchor Seguí and the chaplains of Levante UD, José Luis Sánchez and José Gerónimo Tébar .

 

The captains, Sergio Postigo and Joan Femenías, were in charge of placing flowers at the feet of the Virgen de los Desamparados in an act during which, in addition, Board member Braulio Pastor offered a prayer to the Mare de Déu.
