Levante UD left empty-handed after SD Amorebieta's comeback The Estadio Ciutat de València hosted tonight's match between Levante UD and SD Amorebieta. Two teams that, as coach Felipe Miñambres warned in the pre-match press conference, came with very different objectives but similar dynamics. Levante's players managed to take the lead with a goal from Pablo Martínez, but the locals did not have time to capitalize on that advantage as shortly after, the Basque team equalized and ended up taking all three points with a goal scored in the final moments.

Minutes into the game, Levante UD came close to delighting the fans with a powerful shot from Dela from outside the box that hit the crossbar. Fabrício tried to capitalize on the rebound without success. The response from the opposing team was quick, with Edwards sending a header over the bar. Shortly after, Jáuregui tested Andrés Fernández's reflexes, but the Levante goalkeeper intervened perfectly to stop the striker's shot. Álex Muñoz had two attempts for the Valencian team: first, with a header from a corner executed by Pablo Martínez, and then with a shot from inside the box that hit the net.

The hosts kept pushing but encountered a well-organized Amorebieta defense. Roger Brugué, Dela, Fabrício... all had their chances, but the ball went wide, and both teams went into halftime with the initial scoreline.

After the break, Levante UD came out in search of a goal. Andrés García tried his luck early on with a powerful shot from inside the box that narrowly missed. Despite their efforts, they had to wait until the 64th minute for the breakthrough. It came through Pablo Martínez, after a good combination between Dela, Roger Brugué, and the midfielder. His finish was precise, and the scoreline read 1-0. However, the joy was short-lived. Just two minutes later, former Levante player Jáuregui equalized. The possession was evenly distributed, and neither team gave up attacking.

Fabrício, Pablo Martínez, Dela, Roger Brugué, Andrés García... all tried for Levante, but it was SD Amorebieta who found the net through Unzueta in the final minute of regulation time. Levante UD did not want to end the game like this. Roger Brugué had a chance in stoppage time, but the goalkeeper prevented the goal, and Levante UD failed to secure any points.
