Levante UD participates in the IX LALIGA Academy Meeting

Levante UD has been present at the IX LALIGA Academy Meeting, held in Madrid, a reference forum for professional football clubs where the main updates and strategic lines related to youth football development have been shared.

Representing the club were Joaquín Navarro, director of the Levante UD Academy, and Jorge Calvo, general coordinator of the Academy, who participated in the various working sessions alongside academy managers from LALIGA clubs.

During the meeting, an assessment was made of the conclusion of the Phase 1 of the LALIGA Academy Optimization and Improvement Plan, initiated in 2022, and the main challenges of Phase 2 were presented, which will continue the process of professionalization and continuous improvement in youth football development.

One of the most relevant announcements of the meeting was the official presentation of the new certification ‘Excellence in the Comprehensive Training Model for Football Academies’, developed by LALIGA together with AENOR. This new seal will recognize clubs that achieve the highest quality standards in their training model, with special attention to the comprehensive development of players and the protection of minors.

The LALIGA Academy Plan has shown a very significant evolution in recent years, with notable progress in areas such as comprehensive care for players, the professionalization of academy structures, the development of women's football, the improvement of infrastructure, and the incorporation of technology and digitalization processes.

The participation of Levante UD in this event reinforces its commitment to the comprehensive training of football players and the constant improvement of its youth academy, aligning with the objectives of innovation, quality, and sustained growth promoted by LALIGA.
