Levante UD has delivered material and sports clothing for the CIMIC (Cívico Militar) project for social development of EUTM-Somalia; an exciting initiative that aims to create a venue in the town of Mogadishu, where Somali adolescents and young people can develop their attitudes and skills through sport.

The Chairman of Levante UD, Quico Catalán, has been in charge of delivering the materials to the Defence Delegate of the Valencian Community, Rafael Morenza.

At the request of the EUTM-S Chief of Staff and Head of the Spanish Contingent in EUTM Somalia, Colonel Diego García Garrido, Levante UD, along with other teams from both the Valencian Community and Europe, wanted to join in with this project whereby the Spanish contingent is getting involved with the social, cultural and sports development of this town.

The EUTM Somalia mission (European Union Training Mission in Somalia) is an organisation dependent on the European Union that, together with other international organisations, contributes to the development of security and the provision of basic services in Somalia, in a joint effort to improve the living conditions of its people.
