Levante UD Women's team dropped two out of three points against Granada CF (2-2), a team that was completely dominated in the first half by Levante, despite taking the lead. However, they seized an opportunity presented by a lapse from the team coached by Sánchez Vera to score their second goal and secure a draw at the Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol.
The start of the match became complicated for Levante's players as Lauri scored for Granada within seconds. Far from being discouraged, the blue and maroon players continued with their passing game, and their confidence in their style was soon rewarded. In the 8th minute, Gabi Nunes headed a perfectly delivered cross from Paula Tomás into the net. And fifteen minutes in, Alba Redondo nearly effortlessly tapped in a cross from Andonova on the left. The match was going the way the home team wanted, not anticipating the bittersweet outcome they would face later. Naima provided a warning shortly before the end of the first half, but Holmgren stood in the way of the visitor's intentions to level the score.
After halftime, Levante's play became more sluggish, and their ideas ceased to flow, while Granada CF patiently waited for their chance to strike. Despite that, the Levante UD had opportunities to widen the lead, such as a shot from Ángela Sosa that hit the woodwork. However, the Andalusian team didn't miss their chance, and in a counterattack, Edna, who entered the field in the second half, shot with the unfortunate luck of hitting a Levante defender, deflecting the ball over Emma Holmgren. This goal was a cold shower for the morale of the Sánchez Vera team and provided a lifeline to an opponent in need of points to climb from the lower part of the Liga F standings.
