The youth academy player became the youngest player to score wearing the Levante jersey in LALIGA EA SPORTS.
Nacho Pérez scored his first official goal with the first team yesterday at the Anoeta Stadium against Real Sociedad, writing a new page in Levante's history by becoming the youngest player to open his goal tally in LALIGA EA SPORTS. The academy player experienced an unforgettable afternoon as one of his dreams came true.
“I’m upset about the result, but it’s also special to score my first goal for the club of my life,” Nacho admitted, not hiding the bittersweet feeling after a match in which the team fought until the very last moment. “We knew we were going to a tough stadium, that it would be hard to get points, but we tried until the end,” he explained. The goal came after a ball recovery and an offensive transition where the academy player found his moment. “At first, I had space and stayed there. I saw Thiago moving inside from behind, I went in to finish, and with confidence, I was able to score,” he recounted.
The emotion was immediate when the ball crossed the goal line. At that moment, Nacho Pérez thought about the journey he had taken since he was a child and the people who had been by his side during his development. “I thought about all the afternoons spent here since I was little and about my family, who I knew would be very happy,” he recalled.
The goal also had a special dedication. The player wanted to remember “a friend who played with me and is away and my girlfriend.”
In addition to scoring his first goal with the first team, Nacho achieved a historic milestone by becoming the youngest player to score for Levante UD in LALIGA EA SPORTS. A record he received with surprise but also with the pride of someone who sees years of hard work in the Granota Academy rewarded. “It’s very special; I didn’t know I was the youngest player. I think about all the work, the hours here… It’s a source of pride for me and my family to score a goal wearing this jersey,” he said.
After the match, when Nacho checked his phone, he found countless congratulatory messages, but his first interaction was with his loved ones. “The first thing I did was talk in a group I have with my family and my girlfriend. They all congratulated me and were very happy for me,” he explained.
Despite his youth, the academy player is taking his first steps with the first team with naturalness and calmness. In this process, the support of his teammates has been fundamental in helping him continue to grow and adapt to the demands of professional football. “I’m a very calm guy who approaches everything with a lot of composure. We have a great locker room. All my teammates support me a lot; they’re always there to help you, both in good times and bad, to help you improve. We have a top-notch locker room,” he emphasized.
