Levante UD Honorary President Paco Fenollosa received a very special award last night in recognition of his longstanding support of the Club as well as the affection and appreciation of Valencian society towards him as a person. Onda Cero, represented by the Regional Manager of Atresmedia Comunidad Valenciana, Antonio Domínguez, presented the Valencian Honour Award at the Gala for the XXIII Onda Cero Valencia Awards.

Paco Fenollosa was accompanied by his two families, his blood family and his Granota family. A broad representation of the Board of Directors with President Pablo Sánchez at the head; of the men's first team, led by coach Javi Calleja and captain Sergio Postigo; of the first women's team, with coach José Luis Sánchez Vera and captain Alharilla at the helm; and of Levante UD employees, were all present at this emotional event for the club's honorary president. In his speech, Paco Fenollosa, visibly moved, declared that being “an honorary Valencian is as great an honour as being a Levante fan”.

“I have been at Levante UD for 78 years and, as I always say, my life is Levante and without Levante I have no life. This team and this shield are everything to me.” The honorary president had words of gratitude for Onda Cero, especially for the people from Sports with whom he has shared good times, and also for the people who were with him last night: “I am accompanied by part of the team, from both on and off the pitch: my family. Also by the one I created it with, my wife, Conchín. Being able to share it with all of them is the most important thing. Never forget that your colours are mine.” With this Levante phrase Fenollosa concluded his speech before the public honoured him with a standing ovation.
