The coach has appeared in the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against CA Osasuna.
Luís Castro has appeared before the media in the press conference ahead of the match that Levante UD will play on Monday against CA Osasuna.
The coach did not shy away from admitting that his team was unrecognizable last weekend against RCD Espanyol. He also explained that the squad has done some self-criticism and worked hard to correct the mistakes made. “There are many things we didn’t do well, things we saw that are not normal for us. We looked at it, we talked about it, the players gave their opinions, and we also gave them ours, and I believe that things will get better from now on,” he stated.
Levante UD’s focus is on the next match, which will take place on Monday at El Sadar. For the "granota" team, it will be their second match of the season, while CA Osasuna will make their debut after their game against RC Celta, corresponding to the first matchday, was postponed. This fact, however, does not pose an obstacle for Luís Castro in preparing for the match. “They have more information about us than we have about them, but we have several ways to gather information. Also about their coach, who has changed, but we know how he worked before. In the Second Division, they had one of the best, if not the best, defenses last year. They are a team that defends very well, very compact. We know where they can hurt us and where we can improve to hurt them,” he assured.
The Levante coach is clear about how his team should approach the match. “You have to be at one hundred percent in every aspect because you are playing, if not in the best, in one of the best leagues in the world, and you have to push,” he concluded.
