The Ciutat de València exchanges its goal posts for rugby posts

In the Ciutat de València Stadium the rugby posts have now been put up ready for the final of the Rugby King’s Cup which will take place on 29th April between SilverStorm El Salvador and VRAC Quesos Entrepinares.

José Luis Negro Viñes, representative of the Levante de Vialterra zone, Guillermo García-Polavieja, installations manager for the Spanish Rugby Association, José Luis López, Chairman of the Valencian Rugby Association, César Sempere, Ambassador for the King’s Cup Organisation, Quico Catalán, Chairman of Levante UD, as host, and seven representatives of clubs from the city were all in attendance to try out the new posts that have a record height of 16 metres.

The event was also attended by two special guests, Olympic judo athletes, Laura Gómez and Sugoi Uriarte who, for one day, exchanged the tatami for a grass surface, and who didn’t fail to notice the unbeatable setting that is the Ciutat de València.

With just over a month to go before the Final of the Rugby King’s Cup between the two teams from Valladolid, SilverStorm El Salvador and VRAC Quesos Entrepinares, the rugby posts dominate new football stadium ready to hold a celebration of national rugby, and thus another achievement is fulfilled for the competition in a top level setting.
