Ruth García hangs up her boots and joins the offices of Levante UD Women’s Team

Ruth García has decided to bring her career as a footballer to an end now that the 19-20 season has finished. However, she will continue to work for the club which has seen her grow as a footballer, as part of the organisation within Levante UD Women’s Team.

The Valencian player (26/3/1987, Camporrobles) joined Levante UD in 2004 from CD Camporrobles. Ruth played for the Granotas until the 2012/2013 season, winning two Queen’s Cups “Copas de la Reina” (2004/2005 and 2006/2007) and one League Championship (2007/2008).

After playing for Levante UD, she signed for FC Barcelona for five seasons. Whilst playing for the culés, she won five Catalunya Cups (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017), three Queen’s Cups (2013/2014, 2016/2017 and 2017/2018) and two League Titles (2013/2014 and 2014/2015).

Last season she returned to the club that had been her home for nine years with the same enthusiasm she had on her first day of wearing the Levante UD centenary shield.
