The Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE), one of the main unions for football players in Spain, honored Érika Vázquez, the assistant coach of Levante UD Femenino, at its recent extraordinary and ordinary General Assembly held this past Monday, May 13th.

Érika Vázquez, who joined Levante UD in the summer of 2022 as the primary assistant to head coach Sánchez Vera, is a legend in Spanish football. Her illustrious career spans 24 seasons, during which she played for SD Lagunak, RCD Espanyol, and most notably, Athletic Club, where she spent 17 seasons. Vázquez’s remarkable achievements are highlighted by her impressive goal-scoring record: she netted 264 goals for Athletic Club, making her one of the greatest scorers in the history of Spanish football.

Vázquez received this recognition alongside other notable figures in Spanish football, including former Levante player Olga García, Alcoyano’s Jorge Molina, and Charles Dias, who played for SD Eibar, Málaga CF, and RC Celta, among others.

This acknowledgment by the AFE underscores Érika Vázquez's significant contributions to the sport and her enduring legacy in Spanish football.
