Carol Herrera was one of the protagonists of Levante UD Femenino's qualification for the next round of the Copa de la Reina, as she was responsible for sealing the tie against Alhama CF.

Levante UD took the lead very early, with a goal from Ari Arias when the scoreboard showed the 2nd minute. Carol Herrera highlighted the importance of that start against a rival they already knew well: "We knew it was a rival we were eager to face. We also knew that at home we are very strong, and that's what we want to demonstrate throughout the season. And as you say, what better way to show it than by taking the lead so early?" The celebration of that first goal also left a significant image, with all the players on the field approaching the bench to celebrate with their teammates: "I think it shows that we are a team, we are a family, and we are all united in pursuing the goal we set together."

As the minutes passed, Alhama CF gained more presence in the match, and the game went through different phases. Carol acknowledged the difficulty of the opponent and the team's ability to adapt to each moment: "We knew it was a strong rival. It's a rival with whom, throughout the season, we will be competing head-to-head. There were moments in the match when we dominated, and moments when we had to defend a bit more."

It wasn't until the 83rd minute that the Alhama side equalized, but far from being discouraged, Levante UD reacted immediately. "When they scored, what went through my mind was: hold on so they don't gain momentum with that goal, and we don't lose ours. And that's what happened; in fact, we gained momentum ourselves. And I'm very happy." Because, after Sanadri's goal, which broke the tie, Carol's goal followed. "Sanadri's goal, I think she deserved it; she was looking for it. And then, once she scored, she looked for me. And well, I'm very happy. I remember that pass, I remember being between two players and thinking, 'this one has to go in and seal it.' And that's what happened, so I'm very happy to help the team and seal the match like that," expressed the winger, who also had a special dedication: "My family was here. And well, that was for them."

The qualification for the third round of the Copa de SM la Reina took place in front of the fans, who continued to support the team throughout the match, even under the rain. Carol wanted to highlight the role of the fans in a particularly challenging moment, after Alhama's equalizer: "Hearing the crowd cheer you on, feeling that we are not alone, that we are all one team, that we are all one family, fighting for that goal. Not just us, but them too."
