Levante UD Femenino and Carolina Herrera have reached an agreement to renew the player’s contract until June 2027.

Carolina Herrera Atienza (Valencia, July 6, 2002) was trained in the youth categories of La Unión Femenina Manises FC. At the age of 15, she joined the Valencia CF Academy, and during the 2018/19 season, she achieved the league championship and subsequent promotion to Reto Iberdrola —the name then given to the Second Division— with the reserve team.

In the 2021/22 season, the left winger made the leap to the first team of CD Castellón, where she played for one season before joining Levante UD B. Her effort and commitment did not go unnoticed by the coaching staff of the first team, and on February 14, 2024, she was called up for the first time to the first team squad. Carolina was present in the historic 1-1 draw against FC Barcelona, a match in which the granota team became the first team to earn a point at the Estadi Johan Cruyff since its inauguration in 2019. Just four days later, she made her Liga F debut against SD Eibar.

The Valencian player was a key figure for Levante UD B last season, as she played in 26 matches, 25 of them as a starter, and finished the competition as the team’s top scorer with 11 goals.

With this agreement, Carolina Herrera will continue wearing the Levante UD jersey for another season and will make the leap to the first team.
