Levante UD was defeated by Valencia CF in the derby played at the Levante coliseum. The first goal for Valencia came through Ramazani when the home team was creating the most danger. Sadiq scored the second in the final stages of the match.

The first minutes of the match passed without clear goal opportunities. The visitors had more possession of the ball at the start of the game, but Levante UD grew stronger and created the first dangerous approaches from the home side. The clearest chance occurred in the 17th minute with a free kick taken by Pablo Martínez that Iván Romero headed. Dimitrievski appeared to prevent the ball from entering his goal. Shortly after, the forward tried again from outside the box. The ball went wide. These two actions were the most notable of a first half that passed without either team clearly approaching the opposing area again.

After the restart, the Levante players took to the field with the intention of finding the goal early. Dela tried his luck with a header after a free kick taken by Pablo Martínez, and later, the home team had two consecutive corners. Minutes later, it was Kareem Tunde who attempted with a powerful shot that went off target.

However, despite the fact that the blue and reds dominated and had the clearest chances, the goal came for the visitors through Ramazani with a shot from the edge of the box. Minutes later, Levante UD faced a setback as captain Pablo Martínez had to be substituted due to injury. Time was running out, and the Levante players were searching for the goal that would allow them to equalize the match with crosses into the box looking for a finisher. In the final phase of the game, Sadiq made it 0-2. Injury time arrived, and the home team was left with a numerical disadvantage after Arriaga was sent off with a second yellow card. The match ended without the home team finding the reward for their efforts.
