Levante UD earned a point in their visit to Málaga CF in a match where both teams had opportunities to secure the victory. The home team, looking to claim their first win in front of their fans, had the clearest chance in the first half, but Ryan became the protagonist by saving a penalty. After the break, the visitors stepped up and created several chances, but the score remained unchanged.

The match started at full speed. Barely a minute had passed when Thiago created a very clear chance that forced the Málaga goalkeeper to intervene to prevent the first goal of the afternoon. The Andalusian team's response came quickly, and just five minutes later, the referee awarded a penalty to Málaga CF for a handball inside the box. Chupe took responsibility from the penalty spot but was met by Ryan. The Levante goalkeeper guessed the trajectory of the shot and made a great save to maintain the draw and frustrate the home team's golden opportunity.

Málaga CF then began to take control of the ball and sought to settle near Levante's area. D. Larrubia tried his luck with a cross-shot that went wide, while Levante UD responded with a set piece. Dela executed a direct free kick with precision, and the ball grazed the crossbar.

As the minutes passed, neither team found a way to break through the opposing defense, and the match reached halftime with the initial 0-0 scoreline.

After the break, Levante UD showed a more aggressive side. The visitors played more in the opposing half and began to create more danger around Málaga's goal. One of the best opportunities came from a corner kick. Nacho Pérez connected with a header that seemed destined to become the first goal of the match, but A. Herrero appeared to make a great save and deflect the ball for another corner.

Málaga CF did not give up on seeking victory and also had their chances in the final stretch, with Dotor trying to find a way to Levante's goal. However, neither team managed to convert their chances.

In the end, the score remained unchanged, and Levante UD had to settle for a draw at La Rosaleda.
