Levante UD wishes to publicly express its deep dissatisfaction and disagreement with the recent schedule changes notified by LALIGA for matchday 24 of the competition.

Even being fully aware of the minimal—if not nonexistent—impact this protest will have, as has been the case with the newer teams in the category, the club feels a moral and ethical obligation to denounce what once again constitutes a comparative grievance and a direct sporting disadvantage for our entity.

As a result of these changes, Levante UD will play its league match next Sunday, while our opponent on Wednesday, February 18, Villarreal CF, will play the previous Saturday. This decision means that our first team will have one less day of rest and technical preparation compared to their opponent, altering the necessary conditions of equality for the proper development of the competition.

This is compounded by a repeated trend in the assignment of schedules that the club considers unacceptable. Levante UD has shown respect so far; however, the recurrence of matches scheduled at 2:00 PM, combined with the decision to play the derby against Valencia CF on a Friday, which prevented the participation of players called up for their national teams, demonstrates a lack of sensitivity and respect towards our club.
