Iker Losada: "It's nice to arrive and find a group like this"
The forward played his first minutes as a Granota against FC Barcelona.
Iker Losada became a Levante UD player at the end of last week, and his first days as a "granota" have been intense. The forward was included in the squad for the match played on Saturday against FC Barcelona and had the opportunity to play his first minutes.
The Galician has expressed being “very happy and very proud to belong to this club” and highlighted the warm welcome he received from everyone. “The first day I arrived, after a long trip, everyone was there for me to make it as easy as possible, and honestly, it’s a pleasure to arrive and find a group like this. It makes you feel very good, and that will show on the field,” he stated.
Losada found a great host in Levante UD, as during his time at RC Celta de Vigo, he coincided with Diego Pampín, who has helped him quickly integrate into the locker room: “I played with Pampín for four or five years; we know each other very well, and he is a fundamental support for me, especially now at the beginning.”
Last Saturday, the forward had the chance to debut as a "granota," but he admits he ended with mixed feelings. “A bit strange because I’m happy to have played my first minutes, but sad about the result,” he said. What he did feel especially was the unique atmosphere of the Ciutat de València: “I noticed it the year I came here with Racing Club Ferrol. It was crazy; the fans push a lot, and you can feel it. When the fans support us, they are our 12th player, and it was noticeable on Saturday.”
