Iván Romero: "I am very happy to be able to help the team"
The player has addressed the media in a press conference.
Iván Romero appeared this afternoon before the media after becoming the top scorer for the Levante team and one of the players with the most goals scored in LALIGA EA SPORTS.
The forward expressed being “very happy to be able to help the team” because “I’m starting every game, playing many minutes, and I’m being accurate with my goals.” Iván Romero spoke about one of his attacking teammates, Etta Eyong, and the strong connection they share: “Day to day, we’re always joking around, and that translates onto the field, where just a look is enough to understand each other. He’s very hardworking, and that helps the team a lot and me, being by his side. We work for each other, there are no egos, and that will help him improve and help me improve as well.”
Regarding the first part of the competition, the player from La Solana acknowledged that “it’s not going badly” because, despite having played at home against FC Barcelona, Real Betis Balompié, and Real Madrid, “we’ve competed with them.” “I think we’re doing things well, and we need to work hard to keep it that way,” he added.
The Real Oviedo will be the next opponent for the Levante team, and Iván Romero referred to them as “a tough team at their stadium, very solid, hard to break down, and with very good players.” Despite this, the Levante team approaches the visit with the intention of “playing a serious match and trying to take all three points because we know they could be a rival in our league. We’re two newly promoted teams with a lot of ambition.”
Finally, the forward chose his favorite goal out of the four he has scored so far: “The one against FC Barcelona is special because of the play the whole team made, from Manu recovering the ball to Jeremy –Toljan– passing it back to me. I think it was a very good counterattack, and it’s not easy to pull that off against FC Barcelona. It was the first one at the Ciutat, and I think the fans experienced it as much as I did.”
