Luís Castro has appeared before the media in the press conference ahead of the match that Levante UD will play tomorrow, Sunday, against RC Celta de Vigo at the Abanca Balaídos Stadium.

The coach began by referencing the tragic event that occurred this week following the passing of Jesús de Miguel. The coach stated that, whether the match is played or not, both options could be a way to honor his memory: “If you don't play, you do it for him, but if you play, in all the stadiums, the teams and the fans will pay tribute as he deserves.” He also acknowledged that the squad has been deeply affected emotionally by what happened. “During training, there was total silence, no one spoke. The players were different, and some were very shaken. We respected the moment,” he explained.

Regarding tomorrow's opponent, RC Celta, Luís Castro highlighted their improvement at home. “It is a slightly different team from last year. They are playing good football, as they used to. In the last three home games, they have won two and drawn one. They have improved their performance at home since the beginning of the season. The level of the squad is very high,” he assured. Despite this, the coach expressed confidence in his team's chances, recalling that Levante UD already achieved victory at this venue last season. “We know it is a very difficult stadium, but we also know that we can achieve something there. We already did it last year, and we go with the hope and desire to do it once again,” he added.

Finally, Luís Castro made it clear what the team's attitude should be to face the challenge. “We have to be Levante UD, and this club has an identity of enduring and fighting, but moving forward against anything,” he concluded.
