Jorge de Asís experienced his first match as a player for Atlético Levante UD this Sunday. The forward, who joined the granota reserve team in mid-August, made his debut as a starter in the 2-0 victory against Ontinyent 1931 CF.

The debut was a highly anticipated moment for the Argentine footballer since his arrival to the team: "I was anxious, really eager to play, and it was something I had been looking forward to and enjoyed a lot," explained the attacker, who, despite the distance, was able to share his initial feelings with his family: "I was able to enjoy it and share it with my family. The time difference worked out perfectly because when the match ended, they were just waking up, so I was also able to tell them how the game went and how I performed."

His adaptation to Atlético Levante UD has also been quick thanks to the warm welcome from the locker room. De Asís highlighted that "it was very easy to adapt; there is a really good group of people," and he celebrated the victory with his teammates, a win the team had been striving for: "We enjoyed the victory; we had been looking for it, and we were able to celebrate it together in the locker room."

That victory against Ontinyent 1931 CF has also left positive impressions ahead of the next match against Villarreal CF C. The Argentine forward highlighted the level shown by the group and the potential for further improvement: "This match left us with very good feelings; you can really see the quality of the team, and also that we can do much better," he concluded.
