Levante UD hosts Athletic Club this evening at the Ciutat de València Stadium, starting at 8:00 PM, to play the match corresponding to Matchday 6, which had to be postponed on September 16 due to heavy rains.

The Levante team approaches this match with the goal of achieving another positive result in front of their fans, after drawing last weekend during their visit to RC Deportivo. Facing them will be an Athletic Club arriving at the Ciutat de València in a positive dynamic. The Bilbao team has gone five matches without a loss, with a record of two wins and three draws, a streak they will aim to extend at Levante's home ground.

Levante UD and Athletic Club have faced each other 17 times in La Liga at the blue and red coliseum. The record slightly favors the visiting team, which has seven wins compared to Levante UD's five, while the other five matches ended in a draw. The balance is also reflected in the goal tally. Levante UD has scored 22 goals in these home encounters, while Athletic Club has scored 21.

The first chapter of this history was written on March 29, 1964. On that day, Levante UD defeated the Bilbao team 2-1, inaugurating a history of encounters that has spanned more than six decades. The most recent precedent at the Ciutat de València took place on November 29, 2025, when Athletic Club claimed a 0-2 victory.

The last home victory for Levante UD against the red-and-white team occurred on December 3, 2018. On that occasion, Levante UD secured an authoritative 3-0 win, thanks to goals from Chema, Campaña, and Roger.

This evening, the Ciutat de València will once again be the stage for a new chapter between both teams, with Levante UD determined to capitalize on the support of their fans to claim all three points.
