The first men's team will wear the garment this Sunday against Málaga CF and it will go on sale today.
Levante UD and Macron intertwine their history, memory, and connection to their origins once again with the launch of their fourth official kit for the current season. A commemorative jersey created to honor José Ballester Gozalvo, founder and first president of the club, and his wife, Teresa Molins Gausach, on the exact anniversary of the historic and emotional return of their remains from France to rest permanently in the Cabanyal cemetery.
The official debut of this commemorative jersey will take place this Sunday, September 6, during the match between Levante UD and Málaga CF at the Rosaleda. The event holds great symbolism: it coincides with the 117th anniversary of the club's founding (September 6, 1909) and marks the first anniversary of the day the club fulfilled the last wish of its founder after a complex international repatriation process driven by the club and a group of Levante UD fans.
From the sea he longed for to the ceramics of his home
The new kit is a poetic and visual tribute to the figure of Ballester. The design adopts a deep navy blue tone, evoking the Mediterranean Sea that the founder often gazed at longingly during his years away from his homeland. The fabric features a sophisticated pattern that recreates the characteristic tiles of the Cabanyal neighborhood—his home and the place he always yearned to return to—accompanied by fine splashes that simulate the foam of waves breaking on the shore, a detail that symbolically connects the garment to the sand and water of the Valencian sea.
The teachers who started it all
The jersey's presentation is accompanied by an emotionally charged and memory-filled audiovisual piece, featuring teachers Paco Santamans and Irene Alcolea, key figures in the process of repatriating the couple's remains. "Bringing José Ballester and his wife back seemed impossible after so much time," recalls Irene in the piece, to which Paco adds the essence that defines the granota club: "That's what this club is about; when something seems unattainable, Levante UD and all the people involved make it happen."
Through a journey across the streets of Cabanyal and the beach, the video delves into the meaning of the jersey. "It is the symbol of fulfilling the wishes of your loved ones," "because defending this crest also means remembering where we come from and to whom we owe everything." The piece concludes with an image of the jersey embraced by the sea foam and two unforgettable premises: Fulfilling the last wish. Returning to where you were happy.
