Levante UD Femenino wraps up the preseason with a solid 4-1 victory against Villarreal CF, a team they will face in the league. Ari Arias opened the scoring, and N. Escoms, Sanadri, and Bascu sealed the win. 

The frenetic start to the match was far from what one would expect from a friendly game. Both teams, who will meet again in the league competition, took to the field with intensity. Escoms tried to surprise with a free kick in the 2nd minute, but it was Ari Arias who opened the scoring just three minutes later with a shot that went straight into the top corner of the opponent's goal. The next dangerous chance also came from her boots. The Madrid forward carried the ball down the right flank, evading opponents, until she passed it to Escoms, who hit the post, eliciting gasps from the crowd. 

Levante UD's second warning prompted an immediate reaction from the yellow team. After taking a corner kick, Villarreal CF equalized in the 18th minute. The visitors found counterattacks to be their best weapon to approach the goal defended by Coronado, but all the players were diligent in their defensive actions and quick to retreat. 

Offensively, Levante UD did not give up. They kept pressing repeatedly. First, with a cross from Carol that was perfectly placed; then, with a subtle strike from Inés after finding the ball at her feet; and finally, with a shot from Dana, which was caught by the Yellow Submarine's goalkeeper. But persistence paid off in the 40th minute when Escoms sent a left-footed shot straight into the net. With the lead regained, the first forty-five minutes came to a close. 

When the game resumed, Coronado made a great save in a chaotic play inside the six-yard box, where several Villarreal CF players tried to score amidst a tangle of legs. From the Levante goalkeeper to Villarreal's: Inés forced the opposing keeper to stretch and send the ball out for a corner after unleashing a powerful shot, and shortly after, Dana tested her again with a strike that made her dive low to stop it. 

The visiting goalkeeper continued to be busy and had to make a great save to deny Sanadri a goal. However, she couldn't prevent the Basque forward from finding the net in the final stages of the match, as she capitalized on a ball inside the box to slot it home for the third goal. That wasn't the last goal celebrated by the crowd in Buñol, as after the 90th minute, Bascu put the icing on the cake with a shot from the edge of the box. 

Levante UD's next match will be on Wednesday, September 9, when they visit the Diego Quiles Field to face Elche CFF in the first round of the Queen's Cup.
