Levante UD concluded their summer preparation with a victory against CD Castellón in a match where the "granotas" showed reasons to look optimistically towards the start of the league competition. The team led by Luís Castro won thanks to goals from Iván Romero, who scored twice, and Nacho Pérez.

The "granota" team did not take long to take the initiative. Barely five minutes had passed when Iván Romero, after receiving an assist from Carlos Álvarez, broke the deadlock and put Levante UD ahead. The Levante players took control of possession during the early stages and sought to capitalize on their dominance to extend the lead. The connection between Olasagasti, Carlos Álvarez, and Iván Romero came close to resulting in a second goal, but the ball rolled in front of the Castellón goal before going out. Shortly after, Víctor García made a good play down the right wing, reached the byline, and sent a cross into the box that Iván Romero narrowly missed.

Levante UD created the most dangerous chances, but CD Castellón found the equalizer after the first half-hour. Gala took advantage of a pass from Bellari to level the score and give the home team a boost as they approached the final stretch of the first half with greater intensity. In the dying moments, Rego had another opportunity with a shot at the far post that went wide.

After the break, Luís Castro's team regained the initiative. Víctor García and Nacho Pérez combined perfectly in the early minutes of the second half, although the latter's shot was deflected by the defense and resulted in a corner kick. Levante UD struck again shortly after. Iván Romero finished well against the goalkeeper and scored his second goal of the evening to restore his team's lead.

CD Castellón tried to respond and tested Ryan with a powerful shot from Vlak. The Levante goalkeeper responded with a good save to deflect the ball for a corner. The "azulgranas," however, quickly overcame those moments of pressure and regained their offensive threat. Iván Romero tried again from outside the box with a powerful shot that hit the side netting. Manu Sánchez also attempted to surprise the goalkeeper with a chip that ended up going wide. Levante UD kept pushing and eventually found the decisive reward with ten minutes remaining.

Olasagasti took a corner kick, and Nacho Pérez rose to connect with a powerful header that ended up in the back of the net. The third "granota" goal practically sealed the match and allowed the team to approach the final minutes with ease.

With this victory, Levante UD concludes their preseason commitments with a win that confirms the positive impressions shown during preparation. Luís Castro's team now faces the start of the league competition with confidence and the goal of carrying these good signs into the championship.
