Levante UD Femenino strengthens its squad for the new project in Primera Federación with the addition of Iria Castro, who joins the Levante club until June 2028.

Iria Castro Goméz (Briviesca, January 2, 2002) arrives in Buñol from DUX Logroño, a team she has played for over the past four seasons. After gaining experience and minutes in teams from her hometown, such as CD Nuestra Señora de Belén and CD Parquesol, she made the leap to the maroon team in the 2022/23 season.

At DUX Logroño, she established herself as a reliable center-back who can also play as a left-back. Over the seasons, she took on more responsibilities, becoming a key player in the campaign for promotion to Liga F. During the 2024/25 season, she not only contributed defensively but also offensively with six goals.

Last season, already in the First Division, she once again played a leading role after achieving her team's survival, being one of the players with the most participation in the squad, playing 1,450 minutes across 23 matches in Liga F and the Copa de la Reina.

At the international level, Iria Castro has represented Spain in the youth categories. In 2018, she was one of the players called up by Toña Is to compete in the U-17 European Championship held in Lithuania, which the ‘Rojita’ ended up winning.
