Levante UD Femenino B has completed its preseason. The coach Manu Martínez has evaluated the work done during these weeks, in which the team has prioritized establishing an identity before the league debut against SE AEM Lleida this Saturday. 

The Albacete coach's assessment of these weeks of preparation has been positive, especially due to the growth the group has experienced beyond the results: "We have focused more on the sensations, on ensuring that the team ultimately adopts the automatisms we wanted to implement, the ideas we wanted to instill, and an identity as a team." This work has allowed him to affirm that the team is starting the season "with very good feelings."

The involvement of the players, in a squad with many new faces, has been another highlight for the coach. In this regard, Manu Martínez noted that "the work, commitment, and involvement of all the players have been very good," a fact that has facilitated the achievement of the primary objectives set, although there is still room for further growth during the season.

Regarding the adaptation of the new signings, the Albacete coach highlighted that "it is a group that makes things very easy, integrates the players, and makes them feel at home from day one." Alongside the new faces, four players from the academy have made the leap to the reserve team. For Manu Martínez, this step has also been facilitated by their familiarity with the club and their own qualities. "They are players who are technically very good and who cognitively interpret very well what we want and what the team demands," he explained. 

Additionally, the preparation had a special final chapter at FC Barcelona's training ground. The reserve team faced Barça B last Sunday in a match that Martínez described as "very good and unforgettable," both for the experience shared with the Femenino C and for what happened on the pitch despite the 2-0 defeat. The team competed until the end against a higher-category opponent, and for the coach, that match helps them "start the season with a little extra edge."

The only negative note from these weeks has been the injury to Natalia Miralles. The coach regretted the setback suffered by the midfielder during the friendly against Valencia B: "These are always news you never want to hear; she is a very important player for the team." Now, the team approaches the season with extra motivation to give their all in every match and ensure that each victory can also be a dedication to Miralles. 

Levante UD Femenino B kicks off the league competition this Saturday, September 5, when they host SE AEM Lleida at the Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol at 5:00 PM.
