Martínez Puig, Guest of Honor at the Clash against Elche CF

The Levante UD vs Elche CF preview brought a very special visit to the VIP Box, that of Pepe Martínez Puig who, after more than 30 years working for the club as a goalkeeper coach for the first men's team and later for the Granota youth academy, as well as defending the Granota goal in the 1980s, retired on March 15th. The Levante goalkeeper experienced this moment alongside his family and received applause from the Ciutat.

The more than fifteen thousand fans who attended the match observed a respectful minute of silence in memory of Mikel Barrachina, president of the Levante UD Supporters' Club Delegation for 7 years, from January 2017 to September 2023, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the "Cent Anys" Foundation, as well as in remembrance of Francisco López López, who was a player for Levante UD in the 1990/91 season.

As has been customary since the beginning of this season, the task of placing the ball on the pedestal before the start of the match is entrusted to an athlete from the club's Foundation. This match, the spotlight was on Jorge Doménech, a player from the Levante UD EDI team, who showcased all the work done by our athletes.

In addition to the usual photo of the young season ticket holders with the starting eleven in the pre-match, the regional derby also featured actions from our sponsors; 22 boys and girls took to the pitch hand in hand with players from both teams thanks to Marcos Automoción, which sponsored our escort kids.

At halftime, the commercial action came from Blau Home with "Catch the Star," where four fans had a great time in a fun game that entertained attendees during the break.

The winner of the Levante UD's Christmas card contest, Mateo Molada, chose this match to attend with his classmates from Escolapias de Valencia school, as part of the prize for being the winner. Additionally, he participated in the photo with the starting eleven, and his favorite player, Brugui, presented him with a shirt. An experience that he will undoubtedly never forget, especially with the great victory achieved against Elche CF.
