Mathew Ryan will once again wear the Levante UD jersey after the agreement reached between both parties for the current season.

The goalkeeper (Plumpton, Sydney, April 8, 1992) joined the Levante club last summer and, during the league competition, defended the granota goal on 36 occasions. Trained in the youth systems of Blacktown City and Central Coast Mariners, he debuted in the top division with the latter during the 2010/2011 season. In 2013, he moved to Belgium to join Club Brugge, and in 2015, he had his first experience in Spain with Valencia CF. Two years later, in January 2017, he returned to Belgium to play on loan for KRC Genk. At the end of the season, he signed with Brighton & Hove Albion to play in the Premier League, and in January 2021, he went on loan to Arsenal.

Mathew Ryan experienced a new chapter in LALIGA with Real Sociedad during the 2021/2022 season. Subsequently, he played in Denmark with FC Copenhagen and in the Netherlands with AZ Alkmaar. During the 2024/2025 season, he played for AS Roma and RC Lens.

The Levante goalkeeper is an international player for the Australian National Team, with which he has served as captain and participated in the 2014, 2018, 2022, and 2026 World Cups.

Welcome back, Mathew!
