Mehdi Nafti signs with Levante UD as the new coach of the first team

Levante UD and Mehdi Nafti (Toulouse, 11-28-1978) have reached an agreement for the latter to become coach of the Granota first team for next season, with the option of two more in the event of achieving promotion .

Nafti's official presentation to the media will take place this Monday, 13th June from 12:00 noon, in the press room of the Ciutat de València stadium.

Nafti has many years as a footballer in clubs on the old continent and within it in our country, where he played for several LaLiga teams and, despite his youth, he also has experience on several Spanish football benches.

The French-Tunisian made his debut as a coach at Marbella, in 2016-17, and then for two periods during 2017-18 at AD Mérida. Nafti has also been the head coach of CD Badajoz and CD Lugo and, at the end of October this past 2021-22, he was called up by CD Leganés.

As a player, Nafti played for Toulouse, Racing de Santander, Birmingham, Aris Salónica, Real Valladolid, Real Murcia and Cádiz CF. In addition, he played for the Tunisian national team, with whom he would be proclaimed champion of the African Cup of Nations in 2004, in addition to participating in the 2006 World Cup.
