Pablo Martínez: "The competition is very high, and that is going to give us all an extra boost."
The captain has spoken about the preseason and the new signings.
Pablo Martínez has addressed the media after Levante UD's visit to the Virgin of the Forsaken to make the floral offering to the patron saint of Valencia.
The Levante captain commented that his request to the Mare de Déu, on an individual level, was focused on “everything going well, having a good year, and avoiding injuries,” while on a collective level, “what all Levante fans want, staying in the league.”
Pablo Martínez spoke about the new signings and acknowledged that “they are raising the level of training, and that is good. The competition is very high, and that is what will give us all an extra boost. They are people who come eager to work, contribute, and add a lot, and I think we are on the right path.”
Regarding the preseason and the fact that the team has not conceded any goals, the midfielder described it as “a very positive point because it has been a pretty tough preseason in terms of training, matches… and we have to see that positive aspect of not conceding and becoming stronger.”
Finally, Pablo Martínez spoke about what coach Julián Calero has asked of them. “That we be more of a team than ever, that we convey a lot because the fans and our people have to support us from the outside, and together we can achieve the goal of staying in the league,” he stated.
