PRESS CONFERENCE | Julián Calero: "We want to earn points to break out of that shell of being a newly promoted team"

Julián Calero appeared this afternoon before the media in the press conference prior to tomorrow's visit of the Levante team to Elche CF.

The coach highlighted the play of his rival during the first two matchdays and the points obtained against tough teams. “They have earned two points against two very difficult teams, Real Betis and Atlético de Madrid, they have competed extraordinarily well, and that good competition has been complemented by earning points,” he stated.

The coach spoke about the fact that his team has not been able to score points in the two matches played and emphasized the importance of looking ahead. “What I am not going to do is let one match drag down another. The two past matches are in the past, as we have discussed with the players. What we need to do is to do things well, try to start earning points to break out of that shell of the newly promoted team that wants to emerge and flourish. We have shown good things in these two matches, although there are things we need to improve. We have lacked precision, in one area and the other, a bit more decisiveness in our own area, and certain details that are important,” he indicated.
