PRESS CONFERENCE | Luís Castro: "It's an important match; it's three points, and we need them."
The coach has appeared in the preview of the match against RCD Espanyol.
Luís Castro has appeared before the media in the press conference prior to the match that Levante UD will play against RCD Espanyol tomorrow, Monday.
The coach has praised his opponent and assured that, despite the results not being in their favor, their gameplay has been good, and therefore, the match must be approached with great focus. “It is an important match. It’s three points, and we need them. RCD Espanyol is playing much better than the results they are getting. If a team goes to play against them thinking they are weak, they will have problems because, for example, in the last match, they had very clear chances to score. They are fighting until the end in every match, they play well, and they know what they need to do at every moment. We have to be very focused because in the Spanish league there are no easy matches,” he commented.
Regarding the confidence that Levante UD may have regained after achieving good results, Luís Castro prefers to stay grounded: “Morale should not be through the roof because when you are in the clouds, you are very high, and you can fall. You have to be at a level where you are happy with the recent results but very attentive to what’s coming because the day you think it’s all done, you will fall, and the clouds are very high. If you fall, you get hurt. We have to stay focused, look at the next match as very important, do what we have done well, and try to make fewer mistakes because we also make them.”
