The coach has spoken ahead of the match that will be played tomorrow at La Rosaleda.
Luís Castro has appeared before the media in the press conference prior to the match that Levante UD will play against Málaga CF.
The coach explained that the week of training has gone smoothly, as the team approaches each matchday with the same respect for their opponents. “We have been very focused on our way of playing, but also looking at Málaga CF, which is a very good team,” he stated. The coach believes that the Málaga team will grow as the season progresses and will eventually see their performance reflected in points. “So far, they have played three good matches, the result in two of them was not the best, but they have competed against those teams. I think in the future Málaga CF will earn more points because they have the quality to do so. They have many academy players, but they also have a very good academy. It is a squad that will grow throughout the season,” he affirmed. For this reason, Luís Castro remains cautious ahead of tomorrow's match: “Our match is important for them, and we have to know that in this game, if we are not at one hundred percent, we are going to have a hard time.”
The unity of the dressing room at Levante UD was one of the keys to achieving their goal last season, and the coach once again highlights this characteristic of his team. “We have a very good group, and it is difficult to say they are better players than people because they are very good people. They are very united. You see it in training sessions, in the time we are not on the pitch but are together. It is one of the keys to the team, and I think, once again, we are going to have a very strong group,” he concluded.
