Atlético Levante UD was defeated in their challenging visit to Atlético Saguntino. The home team's goals at the beginning and end of the first half ended up deciding a match in which the granota reserve team had greater presence in the opponent's area and managed to narrow the gap thanks to a goal by Javi Alonso.

The Atlético Levante UD had to fight from behind from the very first moments. In the 3rd minute, Atlético Saguntino opened the scoring after a defensive error that left the granota goal unguarded. The home team's goal provoked a reaction from Álvaro del Moral's men, who began to press into the opponent's area from the left flank. The crosses from Alejandro Herranz became a great weapon to threaten the rival goalkeeper. 

As the minutes passed, the granota reserve team gained momentum. Hugo Goñi got past the defenders but his shot went wide, Huseini headed over from a great corner taken by Pablo Rosón, and Alejandro Herranz forced the Atlético Saguntino goalkeeper to stretch low to prevent the first granota goal. Just when it seemed the first half would end without further changes to the score, the home team extended their lead, making it 2-0. 

Atlético Levante UD came out in the second half determined to turn the situation around. Hugo Goñi came close to scoring again, but it was Javi Alonso who found the net, marking his official debut as a granota scorer. The Madrid striker gained possession inside the area and, after setting up his shot, sent the ball into the net. 

Álvaro del Moral sought to shake up the game with substitutions. Ethan Sabater tried to equalize after coming onto the field. Aaron Murenzi also came close with a shot that grazed the post. This time, the persistence did not pay off, and Atlético Levante UD was unable to secure any points.

The next match for the granota reserve team will be on Saturday, September 12, against CD Buñol, marking Atlético Levante UD's home debut this season.
