Sergio Lozano: "We have to continue with the same attitude and desire"

Sergio Lozano debuted yesterday afternoon as a scorer this season by netting the second goal in Levante UD's victory against AJ Auxerre. The midfielder spoke to the club's media to evaluate the work done during the preseason and to share how the team is approaching the new challenge in LALIGA EA SPORTS.

The Valencian player assured that the feelings "have been very good" and highlighted the defensive strength shown by the team during this preseason. "We have kept a clean sheet in five out of the six matches we have played, and that is something that speaks very well of how committed the team is," he stated. For this reason, the midfielder advocates for continuing the work done: "We have to generally keep going like this because we need to achieve the goal as soon as possible."

Lozano acknowledged that the promotion achieved last May was very special for him, as he had the opportunity to experience the 2010 promotion on the field as well, but from a different perspective. "In 2010, I experienced it as a ball boy, and it was a dream I had yet to fulfill, and there is no better way to do it than at home," he said. That same excitement for playing in LALIGA EA SPORTS is shared by the team a week before the start of the competition. "We are very eager to start. We know that on Saturday we have a tough match in Vitoria, but we have to keep going the same way, with the same attitude, with the same enthusiasm, and show that we are capable of maintaining the level we are at," he admitted.

Finally, Lozano also expressed his gratitude to the Levante fans for their unconditional support. "We are very eager to give back on the field all the support they are giving us," he concluded.
