A heroic comeback to keep believing
RC Celta 2-3 Levante UD
Levante UD achieved a heroic victory in their challenging visit to Abanca Balaídos. Luís Castro's team managed to come back twice from a disadvantageous scoreline and ended up turning the game around to secure three vital points in their fight for survival.
The home team made an early warning. Three minutes in, Fer López, after an assist from Aspas, tried to surprise with a chip shot, but Ryan appeared to catch the ball. Just a minute later, Vigo's team scored through Jutglà. Far from being discouraged, the Levante players immediately reacted and sought the opposing goal to try to equalize the score. Kareem Tunde, after a cross from Pablo Martínez; Arriaga, with a header; and Olasagasti, with a powerful shot, tried their luck without success. As the minutes passed, Levante UD had to stay calm to keep believing in their chances.
The reward came just before halftime. With two minutes left in the first half, Arriaga unleashed a missile from outside the box that ended up in the home team's net. A truly spectacular goal to bring the score level.
After the break, the match resumed with the same script as the first half. Barely two minutes had passed when Ferran Jutglà, after a cross from Rueda, put his team ahead on the scoreboard again. The Granota team had to fight back once more, but they did not give up. They showed their grit and pride and set their sights on the opposing goal again. Levante's goal also came from outside the box, this time through Dela, who sent a powerful shot into the top corner. Another spectacular goal.
This goal once again boosted the team's confidence, and they dreamed of a comeback. Roger Brugué entered the field, and just two minutes later, he scored the goal that ultimately gave the Blaugrana team the victory. Olasagasti delivered the corner kick, and the forward appeared to head the ball into the back of the net. The Valencians could have extended their lead with another chance from the Granota number ‘7’, which ended up hitting the crossbar.
The match came to an end, and Levante UD managed to secure three golden points to continue fighting for their goal.
