Vicente Iborra returns to Levante UD on loan from Villarreal CF

Levante UD and Villarreal CF have reached an agreement for the loan of Vicente Iborra until the end of the season, with a purchase option for one more season by the Levante team.

So the Valencian midfielder is returning to the club in which he was trained from a cadet and subsequently progressed through the various categories until debuting in the First Division. That moment, dreamed of by any youth player, came in the 2007/2008 season, a campaign in which he began playing for Atlético Levante UD, after passing through Juvenil A, and ended up having a leading role as a first team player. The season ended with the team being relegated to the Second Division, but Iborra was one of the most important ingredients for the Levante team returning to the top league in 2010. Three years later, and after fulfilling another dream of playing in the Europa League with the Granota team, Vicente Iborra and Levante UD parted ways when he joined Sevilla FC and subsequently lived an experience beyond national borders, linking up with Leicester City. In the 2018/2019 season, the midfielder returned to Spain to defend the interests of Villarreal CF.

Iborra, when a Levante UD player, was an international with the Spanish U-21 team. In addition, on his record he has four Europa League Champion titles, three with Sevilla FC and one with Villarreal CF.

Vicente Iborra will be presented as a new Levante UD player on Monday at 12 noon in the Press Room of the Ciutat de València Stadium.
