The player has participated with Algeria in the World Cup.
Levante UD and Aïssa Mandi have reached an agreement for the Algerian international defender to become a new granota player and strengthen the Levante team's defense until June 2028.
Born on October 22, 1991, in Châlons-en-Champagne (France), Mandi is a central defender with extensive experience in European football. Trained in the Stade Reims academy, he made the leap to Spanish football in the 2016/2017 season to join Real Betis Balompié. After five seasons with the verdiblanco team, during which he played in the Europa League, he signed with Villarreal CF in the 2021/2022 season, where he continued gaining European experience by playing in the UEFA Super Cup, the Champions League, and the Europa League.
Subsequently, in the 2024/2025 season, he began a new chapter with the French team LOSC Lille, where last season he participated in a total of 40 matches, divided between 29 league games and 11 UEFA Europa League matches.
Throughout his career, Mandi has accumulated 206 matches in LALIGA, as well as seven appearances in the UEFA Champions League and 22 in the UEFA Europa League, figures that attest to his experience at the highest level.
The defender is also an international player for Algeria, having participated this summer in the World Cup.
The player will undergo a medical examination and, in the coming days, will join coach Luís Castro's squad.
Welcome, Aïssa!
